Nintendo Switch free download is Studio Ghibli meets Zelda

If we could play a game that offers the kind of epic adventures found in The Legend of Zelda series with the beautiful art style of a Studio Ghibli production, that would certainly pique our interest as it did with Bandai Namco’s Ni no Kuni.

Japanese company Studio Ghibli was founded in 1985 and since that time, it has produced some of the most critically acclaimed animated movies of all time including the likes of Spirited Away, The Tale of Princess Kaguya, and Grave of the Fireflies to name a few. As for The Legend of Zelda series, the Nintendo franchise has provided hit after hit with its last being Tears of the Kingdom in 2023.

Check out the Europa trailer below!

The video game in question that blends the worlds of a Studio Ghibli production and The Legend of Zelda series is the upcoming indie title, Europa. Developed by Helder Pinto, Chozabu with Novadust Entertainment, Europa looks to be a charming adventure that warms the heart.

“On the moon Europa, a lush terraformed paradise in Jupiter’s shadow, an android named Zee sets out in search of answers. Run, glide and fly across the landscape, solve mysteries in the ruins of a fallen utopia, and discover the story of the last human alive,” reads the synopsis of the game.

If it feels like Europa might tickle your fancy, then we’ve got some good news for you. As of right now, you can download and play the Europa demo for PC via Steam and for Nintendo Switch courtesy of the eShop.

No release date has been announced for Europa at the time of writing but we do know that it will be released this year on PC and Nintendo Switch. Hopefully, a PlayStation and Xbox release will follow shortly after, and we’ll keep you posted if that happens.
