Some of us are about to feel really old, so I apologise in advance; a lot of gamers will now be legally old enough to buy GTA 6. For those blessed people, this will be the first GTA game they can say that about.
Told you you’d feel old.
Not seen the GTA 6 trailer yet? You really should, like, right now
How time marches on came to the attention of GTA fans when a Reddit post appeared saying, “I was 11 when GTA 5 came out what about you?” Seemingly poking fun at how long we’ve had to wait for the follow-up to that brilliant game. However, all it’s done is make us realise that some of us will be dead before GTA 7 is released.
As you can imagine, existential crises ensued all around. “Puts it into perspective, really,” said one fan. “All those angry squeakers we met in [the] early days of GTA Online are now [in their] 20s, some probably got married already.” To which someone replied, “Hell, I’m already divorced and I’m barely 20.”
Life does come at you fast. But GTA titles? Not so much.
Not that we won’t still reminiscent about having to sneakily buy a copy of GTA 5, either through older siblings or lying to our parents about what the game was about. Now we can buy a GTA game with ease, while our lack of mortgages haunts us, and the daily grind weighs on our weary shoulders.
